Kiwanis International
Each Kiwanis club has a voice at the organization’s international level: the Kiwanis International Board of Trustees. Kiwanis International officers and trustees are elected by clubs at the annual international convention.

The Kiwanis International president presides at the Kiwanis International convention and over all meetings of the Kiwanis International board, executive committee and international council. As Kiwanis International’s primary ambassador, the Kiwanis International president visits districts and regions worldwide.

Jane M. Erickson of Bellevue, Nebraska, is an advocate for children—believing every child should have the opportunity to grow up happy, healthy, safe and love. She was elected president of Kiwanis International in June 2016 at the 101st Annual Kiwanis International Convention in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. A 24-year Kiwanian, Jane has been a member of the Bellevue-Offutt club the past 18 years. Prior to that, she was a member of the Fort Dodge Noon Club in Iowa, serving as distinguished club president in 1994-95. She’s been a K-Kids advisor for 16 years and was a Kiwanian of the Year in 2007-08. A trustee of the Kiwanis International Foundation from 2002-05, she was elected its 2007-08 president. She has served as chair or member of several Kiwanis International Foundation and Kiwanis International committees, including chair of the Women's 25th Anniversary Committee; is a Key Leader facilitator and recipient of Circle K International’s McKitrick award; and is a Diamond-level George F. Hixson Fellow, Tablet of Honor recipient, Founders Circle, Kiwanis International Foundation's Heritage Society member, Walter Zeller Fellow and Mother’s Day Fellow. Jane is the first Kiwanian to serve as the president of the Kiwanis International Foundation and Kiwanis International. Her husband, Gus, is not only the “First Gentleman”, but also the only spouse of an officer ever to serve as a governor.Outside of Kiwanis, Jane is owner of The Wellness & Training Works in Bellevue. She is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic parish, the Bellevue Drug and Alcohol Prevention and Education Commission and a mentor with Teammates, a school mentoring program. Jane and Gus have five children and seven grandchildren.

The Florida District of Kiwanis is governed by a District Board consisting of a Governor, a Governor-Elect, the Immediate Past Governor, a Secretary, Treasurer, and a Lieutenant Governor for each Division. The two Past Governors who served most recently prior to the Immediate Past Governor are also officers. Florida District officers are elected by clubs at the annual district convention, except Lieutenant Governors which are elected at their Division Council Meeting.

Gary Frechette was installed as Florida District Governor on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the 99th Florida Kiwanis District Convention in Orlando. Gary has been a member of the North Palm Beach Kiwanis Club for over 30 years and has served Kiwanis International in the following capacities: Club President, Division 20 Lt. Governor, and Florida District Treasurer. First Lady Maria has chosen for her charity project "Chemo Caps for Kids".

Rick Stradtman is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Mulberry and serves as the 2016-2017 Lieutenant Governor for Division 15 of the Florida District of Kiwanis International. Division 15 is composed of 12 clubs located in Polk, Hardee, Highlands, Desoto, and Glades counties.


J. Kelly Casey is a 35-year Legion of Honor member of Kiwanis and serves as the Division 15 Trustee for the Florida Kiwanis Foundation. Kelly was recorgnized for his service as Past President, Past Treasurer, and Past Secretary by the Kiwanis Club of Winter Haven with a Walter Zeller Fellowship in 2012 and a Life Membership for Kiwanis International and Florida Kiwanis in 2016.

Club Leadership
Each Kiwanis club is governed by elected officers and a Board of Directors. These members serve both the club and foundation. Officers and Directors are elected by active members at the club's Annual Meeting each Spring.

2016-2017 Executive Officers

Tiffani Gozdur

Tiffani is an Assistant Vice President and Private Banker with Citizens Bank & Trust in Winter Haven who joined Kiwanis in 2013.  She is married to Jeff and they have two daughters.  When Tiffani and her husband are not busy being involved in the many activities of their children, she enjoys volunteering with several organizations in the local area. Tiffani is Past President of Girls Incorporated of Winter Haven. She is a Leadership Winter Haven XXXIV alumna and served as Chairwoman for Leadership Winter Haven XXXVI. Tiffani was named as a recipient of the Polk Emerging Leaders Awards in August 2016.

Larry Pakowski

Larry is the Dean of Student Services at the Polk State College Winter Haven Campus and joined Winter Haven Kiwanis upon relocating from Wilmington, North Carolina in 2015. He earned is Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington and is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy at Florida State University. Larry also serves on the Board of Directors for the Lake Wales Chamber of Commerce & Economic Development Council.

Ovidio Sardinas
Vice President

Ovidio is a local realtor who joined Kiwanis after relocating to Winter Haven in 2015. He is a member of National Associaton of Realtors and East Polk County Associaton of Realtors (EPCAR). Ovidio enjoys spending time with his wife Anya and his two children.


Craig Clevenger
Immediate Past President

Craig joined Kiwanis in 2009 when he became the Faculty Advisor for Key Club as a teacher at Winter Haven High School. He currently serves as the Florida Kiwanis District Chair for Key Leader and Assistant Administrator for Division 15A of the Florida District of Key Club. Craig was recognized as Kiwanian of the Year for 2013-2014 by the Kiwanis Club of Winter Haven and was awarded a Centennial Walter Zeller Fellowship by the Kiwanis Club of Winter Haven Foundation in 2015. He is a Walter Zellow Fellow, George F. Hixson Fellow, Dinstinguished Member of Kiwanis International, and Ruby K recipient (10). In July 2016, Craig was elected to serve as the 2017-2018 Lieutenant Governor for Division 15 of the Florida District of Kiwanis and, in August 2016, was presented the 2015-2016 Robert L. "Bob" Moore Outstanding Club President Award by the Florida District of Kiwanis Board of Trustees. Craig was recognized for his professional and community contributions as a 2014 recipient of the Polk Emerging Leaders Awards.

Laura Abercrombie

A college professor and high school teacher, Laura joined Kiwanis after becoming the Charter Faculty Advisor for the Key Club of Chain of Lakes Collegiate High School at Polk State College. She holds a B.S. in Secondary Education from the University of Tampa and earned her Masters of Arts in Rhetoric and Composition from National University. When not teaching or volunteering, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband and young son as well as performing as the lead vocalist with her band Raizing Cain.

Tracy Mercer

Tracy is a Past President for the Kiwanis Club of Winter Haven and recently became a Walter Zeller Fellow supporting Kiwanis International's partnership with UNICEF for the Eliminate Project. After retiring from a career in public service, Tracy was elected to the Lake Region Lakes Management Commission, currently serving as Vice Chair for the canal commission, and is the Executive Director/President of the Board for Keep Winter Haven Clean & Beautiful. Tracy celebrated her return to volunteer service by directing Kiwanis' volunteer efforts as Route Coordinator for Toys for Tots.
